Co-curricular Activities

The teacher trainees are exposed to a comprehensive set of co-curricular activities including art and craft activities like clay modelling, pot making, fabric painting, interior decoration, best out of waste etc., music and dance, dramatics and gardening.We are running Environment Club, Litrary Club, Cultural Club and Sports Club and propose to initiate clubs like Social Welfare Club, Kindness Club, to promote the spirit of camaraderie and develop a sense of belonging among students.

NSS

The NSS caters to those whose inclination leads them to community service.The students are involved in community development programmes, blood donation camps, campaigns against drug abuse and other such activities.

Tutorial Groups

To provide intimate personal contact with teachers, each student is assigned a tutor whose duty is to guide him.The tutors ties to remove the personal and academic difficulties of their respective wards.All the students are divided into seven tutorial groups.Each tutrial group remains on duty for one week i.e. from Monday to saturday.The tutorial group on duty organises and conducts the Morning assembly everyday in zero period.They also prepare the Wall magazine for the week.

College Magazine

Our College magazine, 'Shivalik Vision' is published yearly.it is a project jointly engaged in by faculty and students and aims at reflecting various facets of life in S.I.E.R. It is both scholarly and light hearted and offers an opening for literary, editorial and artistic talent.


Tours and Excursions

In order to stimulate National and Emotional integration and a sense of responsibility, College Tour is organised.

Placement Services

The college has a placement cell which invites applications and co-ordinator interviews for the students, at the end of the academic session.
This year more than forty students got placements in deiffernt schools, in and around Chandigarh.

Alumni Association

The college has recently set up an Alumni Association.We plan to invlve our alumni in various activities of the college, during the academic session, to utilise their rich learning experiences.

Results

The results of the session, 2005-2006 speak volumes of the dynamic leadership provided by the experienced, dedicated and hard working faculty and the management.
Out of 98 students who appeared 97 got first division, 63% students got 70% and above, 17 students got 75% and above.
