Admission to the B.Ed. course is based on a Joint Entrance Test conducted by one of the Universities viz. Punjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
After the declaration of the result, counseling is conducted by the same university and the candidates choose an institution based on their choice and ranking in the entrance test.

Evaluation
The institute believes in continuous Comprehensive Internal Evaluation.Seminars and paper reading activities are held with in the class room and evaluation is done all through the year.Besides these, a number of assignments are given to the students for the purpose of maintaining regularity in studies.
House Examinations/Attendance/Rewards
House testsare held twice a year.
Monthly tests in all the subjects are mandatory and thus a regular feature.
Exemption from any House Examination or Monthly Test will not be given except under very exceptional circumstances.
At least 75% attendance is essential to appear for the annual examination.Special prize is given to all those students who have 100% attendance.
Academic Prizes are based on the cumulative performance of these examinations.
To be eligible for getting the academic prizes, students must appear in all the exams and must secure at least 30% marks in each subject.
