The educational institutions run by the Shivalik Educational Society (regd.), Chandigarh, rank amongst the best in North India. Making a beginning in 1972, the society now has co-educational, English medium institutions at Chandigarh, Mohali, Nawanshahr and Patiala, which have little more than 5000 students including 4000 boarders receiving education up to senior Secondary Stage of Education. Shri D.S.Bedi, the Director of Shivalik Institutions is a well-known visionary in the field of education  and has been guiding beacon and motivating force in the turning them into ideal oases of education and development.
